A New Start here is my second start of the year. It is ONE NATION, and I believe that it is by By Gone Stitches. If you haven't seen this before, it is a truly unique pattern. There are of course fifty stars that I am almost done stitching. Then each of the rows on the flag are the names of all the fifty states in the order they entered the Union. The picture on the front of the pattern doesn't truly do the pattern justice. The red and blue are much brighter and vibrant. I actually find doing these stars sort of relaxing. It is just the same pattern over and over and easy to do. When I come home in the evening right before bed I sit down and stitch a few stars.

I hope all of you had a happy Easter and that E.Bunny paid you a visit. J is now at the age where he really isn't that interested in coloring eggs and that sort of thing, so we skipped that this year. Instead of cooking up a big lunch for four or so people we decided to go to a local restaurant and eat. The food was fabulous and every one got something they wanted. Of course, J ordered his standard chicken strips. He is not very adventurous when it comes to eating.

We have had a lot of rainy weather here, and two hail storms to keep things interesting. We are on a list with a local roofer to get a new roof from the first hail storm. Then on Easter Sunday evening all of the sudden it sounded like a herd of stampeding cattle on our roof and we had ping pong ball sized hail. I was glad we had not already got our new roof.

So Friday morning I got up at 3 am to watch Will and Kate get married. I tried to cross-stitch, but I ended up ripping out more than I actually got right. I thought it was a beautiful wedding. I know some people think it is ridiculous and what not, but I enjoyed watching it.

We have approximately 25 days of school left in the school year. I am ready to be out even though I have several workshops and what not to attend. It will be nice to have some time off. J is busy with spring soccer and has started baseball practice, so we are keeping busy with his schedule.

Hope all of you have a wonderful week, and that you keep yourself in stitches!
